Book I
Clance The Wonder Dog The
Greatest Dog On Earth
My Formative Years or How I Earned My
Name
Chapter VI
Clance's 1st Christmas Story
|
My
story starts when my Bubba decided to put on a stupid red pointy hat
with a fluffy white ball at the tip. He really looked stupid with that
thing on top of his head, especially since it clashed with the green
clothes he was wearing.
I
thought he was just being a goof but soon it was clear, he had become a
Grinch. It was ridiculous the way Bubba kept yelling at me and expecting
me to hold still while he tied a huge horn on the top of my head with a
thick red rope.
To
add insult to injury he started calling me Max.

I
had no choice but to go see Santa and Mrs. Clause. I told Santa how mean
my Bubba had become and how unfair it was of him to try and transform me
into some fictional reindeer named Max.
Santa was a jolly old guy and promised, if
I went home he’d take care of everything. Mrs. Clause was really nice
too and gave me some delicious home baked goodies for the journey home.

Santa
kept his promise and by the time I got home I regained my identity of
Clance the Wonder Dog the Greatest Dog on Earth.
What’s
more, Santa left all sorts of presents under the tree and loaded up the
Christmas Treat Train with a bunch of Mrs. Clause’s Goodies.
It
sure feels good to chase that train around and not worry about getting
my horns tangled up in the Christmas Tree.

Hope
y’all have a Happy Christmas and a Merry and Prosperous New Year!
Know,
the Son shines over all of you, all year long!
Sincerely,
Max Clance & The Grinch Bubba
